Ah…the Patriots….

No, not the ones from New England…(LOL)

The Patriots of the Metal Gear series.

This organization ran the country, everything from elections to commerce.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but it does make you think…

“Could the Patriots Be Real?”

Is a computer system running or lives?

Well, let’s examine this in the lens of the MGS universe.

Spoiler alert: This post may contain references from the MGS series.

Another spoiler alert: This post is just for fun and is not to be taken seriously. This is just me thinking and is not to disrespect the US government in any way.

I don’t think the Patriots are or could be a real thing.

If we look at the circumstances of the Patriots’ creation, we see why.

So, Zero created the Patriots as a contingency plan.

The Patriots was created to keep Zero’s perception of The Boss’ will going.

Major Zero was poisoned by Skull Face.

I don’t know if the Patriots would have gotten so out of hand if Zero was physically able to monitor it.

These are just my thoughts.
