The Bible Is Not Against Fun!
I would like to think of God as fun.
Let us think for a moment.
Our rainbows…flowers…birds…trees…could have been in black and white.
He could have made people all one color, which would be boring.
The vibrant colors of our world point to a creator that has a fun side.

Sometimes, Christians are seen as dull and joyless.
That is far from God’s ultimate plan.
Christians are supposed to be people filled with joy that is visible.
Proverbs 15:13 (NIV) states that…
A happy heart makes the face cheerful…
Here is another great verse in Ecclesiastes 8:15 (NASB)
So, I commended pleasure, for there is nothing good for a person under the sun except to eat, drink, and be joyful, and this will stand by him in his labor throughout the days of his life which God has given him under the sun.
God is not against us enjoying life.
The earth is God’s and is for us to enjoy.
Even Jesus gives us an example of having fun.
Jesus’ First Miracle
Jesus’ first miracle was at a wedding feast.
The party was getting low on wine.
And Jesus’ mother, Mary, recommended that Jesus keep the fun going.
Jesus obliged by turning water into wine.
Just think for a moment.
Jesus’ first miracle noted in the Bible was not Him laying hands on the sick.
It involved keeping the fun atmosphere going.
Conclusion
Difficulty is a part of life.
We can’t skip the difficulties of life like paying bills, grief, loss, and other struggles.
But, in my opinion, joy and fun are just as important as dealing with difficult days.
The joy and fun I’m able to have here on this world is a glimpse into heaven.
And I know that God loves me unconditionally.
