My Comic Books Hobby
A few months ago, I went into a local comic bookstore.
I was OVERWHELMED!
When I say overwhelmed, I mean that in a good way.
Spiderman, Batman, Captain American, Image Comics, Star Wars, and everything in between as far as the eyes can see.

I was looking to get back into reading comics again.
A few comic books later, I am enjoying this journey.
It has been a great joy to dig into the backstories of the superheroes I love.
Beautiful artwork and great stories come together in amazing comic book.

3 Reasons Why I Read Comic Books as An Adult
Here are the 3 reasons I read comic books as an adult.
READING IS FUN!
Comic book reading IS reading!
Reading is important, allowing us to engage our minds and stimulate brain cells.
If nothing else, it can keep me from scrolling endlessly on my phone.
Comics provides an outlet to reading in a way that is enjoyable!
A SENSE OF COMMUNITY
Nerds and geeks have a unique ability to bond over shared fandoms.
Comics have allowed me to connect with other people who share the same interest.
Community has a way of allowing us to be ourselves, in a safe space.
HEALTHY DISTRACTION
The truth is life can be difficult.
A healthy amount of distraction from work, family, and other responsibilities is important.
Comic books provide that for me.
Like I mentioned before, comics provide good stimulation for our brains.
Comic books and graphic novels are great ways to detox from the anxiety that everyday life can bring.
While “escaping” real life is not always good, using a healthy distraction like comic books can rejuvenate our hearts and minds.
Conclusion
It’s fun being a fan of something.
Especially when that something is as great as a comic book!
I am enjoying learning more about comic books.
This is definitely good way to pass time, in my opinion.
