Living Between The Lines
I have shared this story previously on the blog.
However, I don’t mind sharing this again.
I became a Christian at a very young age.
So, I spent a lot of time in church growing up.
When I was not at church, I was home.
Home was a place of peace for me because I was an introvert.
While I enjoyed church as a youth, it was draining me.
My real fortress of solitude was my room at home.
Days and nights were spent in front of the television, either playing video games or watching cartoons.
I was living two different lives.
My Christian life was at church, and my nerdy life was at home.
Even at a young age, it was hard to manage this.
I kept these two worlds separate for a long time.
Never did I share my nerdy side with my friends from church.
And my shyness kept me from sharing my faith.
It was quite a conundrum.
I loved God but I also loved The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I did spend time reading my Bible along with reading video game magazines.
I didn’t think that I could be a “real” Christian and indulge in my nerdy passions.
Coming Full Circle, Finally!
I continued to keep these two worlds apart until recently.
During a random YouTube search, I was exposed to a ministry.
This ministry is Love Thy Nerd.
I saw men and women that loved the Lord Jesus AND were using their nerdy passions as a tool for ministry.
These people played video games, read comics, enjoyed cartoons, just like me.
As crazy as it sounds, this lifted me up and encouraged me a great deal.
Along with LTN, I began to see others in my feed who were Christians that loved Jesus and enjoyed all the geeky things.
It was a revelation!
I can love Jesus AND be a nerd!
It was a deep relief to know that I didn’t have to put my Christian faith in the closet anymore.
This led me to create my YouTube channel and this blog.

Conclusion
Again, this may sound weird.
But it is amazing to feel comfortable living in your own skin.
I don’t have to hide the fact that I love Jesus and have a passion for nerdy, geeky stuff.
The hope of this blog and the content I create is show the love of Jesus Christ while sharing with you the nerdy things I passionate about.
I hope to always be a source of positivity, encouragement, and fun for you.
