My 1st Punisher Comic
I recently finished reading my first Punisher comic.
This comic book follows the premise that Frank Castle’s family wasn’t taken away from him.
Castle becomes a member of the local police department, where he finds corruption in the ranks.
As Castle is determined to help expose the corruption, he becomes the target of dirty cops.
This was really an interesting take on Frank Castle’s story.
Also, I finished reading a “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book that shares 101 keys to happiness.
The book shares 101 stories of how people found happiness through various means.
If you have a chance to pick this book up, I highly suggest reading it.
Doctor Strange and Noah
I took on the difficult task of drawing Dr. Strange of Marvel Comics.
All things considered, I drew the picture that you can check out below.
Only a few minutes after completing this drawing, I decided to draw a picture of Noah.
Noah is famous for building the ark in the Old Testament.
This drawing was a reference from the Lee Ames “Draw 50” book where it covers how to draw 50 Biblical characters.
The picture, as you can see in the video below, turned out well.
Gifted To Serve Others
We often make the mistake of being selfish, not giving of ourselves.
That is an easy trap to fall into.
We live in a society where all of us look out for number one.
While it is important to take care of ourselves, we should look to serve others.
We serve others through the natural and spiritual gifts we have.
God has gifted us all in a particular area.
For instance, I have been told that I’m a good teacher and that I’m good at encouraging others.
(That is behind the purpose of the blog, to encourage and inspire others.)
As Christians, we are gifted with spiritual gifts that allow us to build God’s Kingdom.
The goal for each of us is to serve others through the gifts we have.
Let us seek to build up others using our skills, gifts, and talents.
This is even more of an important challenge for those of us who call ourselves Christians.
We are to build God’s Kingdom, to give God glory every chance we get.
Conclusion
Let us be encouraged to use our gifts as a means to serve others and to honor God.
This verse below helps us to see how important each of us to building God’s Kingdom.
The verse is from Ephesians 2:10. (ESV)
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Part of the call of a Christian is to do good works that reflect back to God.
Let us be mindful of the privilege and responsibility to serve others through the gifts, skills, and talents God has placed inside of us.
