Monday Morning Nerd Vol 16

Make It Count

Good morning and Happy Monday!

Welcome to the Monday Morning Nerd.

This is a weekly blog post where I share with you what I’ve been playing, reading, watching, drawing, followed by a word of encouragement for your week.

This is the last Monday in October, so let us make it count.

I hope you have an awesome week.

Let me start with the awesome Batman movie I watched this past weekend.

Batman’s Epic Battle

I’ve been on a Batman kick lately.

Just this week, I was watching a classic 1940’s Batman series on Tubi.

I also have watched several Batman animated movies recently as well.

Another movie to add to that list is “The Batman vs Dracula.”

This was an EPIC battle.

In this DC animated movie, The Dark Knight takes on the Prince of Darkness.

The Penguin mistakenly brings Dracula back to life.

From that point, Dracula seeks to create an army of the undead.

It’s up to Batman to stop Dracula’s reign of terror on Gotham.

This is a great movie I can recommend watching, especially for Batman fans.

Check out my drawing below.

Drawing of King Kong

What can you say about King Kong?

He is a classic monster in pop culture that has been around for almost 100 years, if not longer.

I decided to draw King Kong for Saturday drawing this past week.

You can check it out below.

The drawing turned out pretty good and I’m happy with how it turned out.

I love doing these drawings.

I’m always glad to share my artwork with you all.

Check out my awesome comic book I picked up this past weekend.

Another Batman Zero Year Comic

Recently, I read Batman Zero Year: Secret City.

It was an epic graphic novel.

I couldn’t put it down!

This weekend, I was fortunate to find the next graphic novel in this series.

“Batman Zero Year: Dark City” is another amazing comic book featuring Batman’s back story.

In this graphic novel, Batman takes on The Riddler.

The Riddler takes control of Gotham City, making everything dark.

Batman has to form an alliance with Jim Gordon in order to bring Riddler down.

I haven’t finished reading this book yet, but it is just as captivating as the previous one in the series.

This is a great read and I can HIGHLY recommend it.

Check out the game I played this week next.

Pixel Solo Ops Review

At this point in my life, I don’t have time to play long video game experiences.

(Even though I would love to have more time for gaming)

I often play short indie games that scratch the “I want to play a video game but don’t have much time” itch.

Pixel Solo Ops is another game offering that kind of experience.

This game is a quick 20 level action shooter.

I played this game on Normal difficulty and didn’t find it overly difficult.

You play as a guy on a rescue mission to save his buddy from an evil gang.

It’s full guns blazing in this game!

There are a few weapon upgrades, featuring a spread gun.

The spread gun is going to make life easier for you.

The game is quick and can be fun.

But it is repetitive and there is not a lot of replay value.

You can do worse for a few bucks of gaming, but this one may or may not be worth picking up for you.

Check out my word of encouragement for your week below.

Possibilities Not Obstacles!

It seems like our world is pessimistic.

And that pessimism can seep into our minds, hearts, and thoughts.

We can sometimes look at life through the lens of all the obstacles we face.

It is important that we change our prespective.

We need to see the glass half full instead of half empty.

Let’s focus on looking at all the possibilities instead of seeing all the obstacles.

As this week approaches, let’s have an attitude of positivity, optimism, and gratitude.

Check out the video below for my thought on this.
