Living the Dream
As a young kid, I wanted to be a cartoonist.
I was enamored with the Saturday morning cartoons as well as the Disney afternoon lineup shows.
The Looney Tunes shorts really inspired me to draw.
I wanted to draw all the characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy, and Darkwing Duck.
Most of my spare time was spent drawing cartoons and watching cartoons.

When I graduated from high school, I wanted to go to a school to learn how to animate.
However, I didn’t follow through and eventually life got in the way.
As I got older, that dream seemed to fade away.
Recently, I picked back up the pencil and started drawing again.
This path of picking up the pencil led me to study the artists and creatives I loved since my youth.
I discovered (or rediscovered) the world of comic books.
I was introduced to amazing stories, brilliant artwork, and awesome creators.
After reading various comics, I realized that I wanted to create my own comics.
My infatuation with the world of comic books and graphic novels was on the rise.

A few days ago, I decided to give creating comics another shot.
Of course, this would be on a small scale.
After watching several YouTube videos on the subject, I thought a small, pocket comic would be worth trying.
I created two mini comics.
My first mini comic is “Naj vs society.”
“Naj vs society” follows the story of introverted Naj as he deals with everyday life.
This one is loosely based on my life as an introvert.
The second mini comic is “Kris at the Cross.”
This story follows 8-year-old Kristine as she navigates life as a young Christian in hilarious fashion.
There aren’t many Christian comics from what I have seen so I thought to create something enjoyable.
Check it out below.
The cool thing is that mini comics like the ones I created above can be done by anyone.
If I can pull it off, you can too!
It is a lot of fun to create something of your own, even as small as a mini comic.
Conclusion
Mini comics are a lot of fun to create.
This has (somewhat) allowed me to live out my dream as a cartoonist and artist.
If you consider doing this, just know that the only limit is your imagination.
