It’s A Bird…It’s A Plane…
NO, IT’S SUPERMAN!!!!!
An all-around good guy we can trust to save the day.
Whether’s it’s holding up a bridge to prevent disaster or stopping Lex Luthor’s latest scheme, Superman can be depended on to do something good.
The thing I admire most about Superman is that he always endeavors to use his power for good.
He has the power to bring the world to it’s knees.
But he uses his power to protect others.
That is what makes him such a great superhero.
However, we as regular people have the same power to do good works.
We, Too, Can Save The Day!
Volunteering at a soup kitchen…
Encouraging someone going through a rough time.
Donating items to Goodwill.
Financially supporting the Red Cross.
These are all good works.
While we may never save the world from Brainiac 1.0, we can do something good to serve our neighbors.
This is especially true for followers of Christ.
The Bible says this in Ephesians 2:10 (Berean Standard Bible)
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
We have been redeemed as believers to do good works.
Our good works should be a way of life.
When we do good as Christians, we reflect the love of Christ on the earth.
So, let us ask ourselves…. what are the good things we can do to help our neighbors?
A good act, no matter how great or small, allows us to be like Superman to our neighbors.
