Trouble At World 7
Have you ever gotten to World 7 in Super Mario Bros?
The difficulty has ramped up since that first screen of World 1.
The Hammer Brothers are throwing hammers recklessly.
Bullet Bills are attacking from unseen places.
The platforming has gotten crazier.
All the Koopa Troopas are out to get you.
World 7 of Super Mario Bros sounds just like life, doesn’t it?
Grocery prices are high.
Our 9 to 5 jobs can drain us of our joy and energy.
The 24 hour news cycle and endless notifications weigh us down even more.
Light bills, rent payments, mortgages, medical bills, and other creditors are out to get us.
Depression, loneliness, and anxiety are at all-time highs.
World 7 can be tough, even for the most optimistic of us.
But, I have some great news!
The Princess Is in Another Castle
Even though World 7 is tough, you still have lots of lives left.
Mario (or Luigi) is catching his second wind!
Let’s get some flower power and get to World 8.
Because….the princess is in another castle!

You have gotten all the way from World 1 to World 7, which is no small feat.
To be plain, you made it from yesterday to today.
You should be proud of yourself.
You got to clock out at 5 and made it through another workday!
Your grocery money is just enough to eat dinner tonight!
That sounds like a win!
If you made it to World 7, surely, you could make through World 8.
World 8 has the princess in the castle and you get to take on Bowser.
You have all the firepower you need.
Don’t doubt yourself now, you have come TOO far to give in.
Don’t let a bad day become a bad week or bad month.
The princess is close; keep on going and finish out the game of life.
If you are alive, you have made it through every tough day you have ever had!
You are ready for World 8 and to defeat Bowser!
Get that fire flower and head to the castle!
Conclusion
World 8 is full of difficulty.
But, if you defeated World 7, you can do the same for World 8.
Just be proud of how far you have come and keep it going.
You can win not only Super Mario Bros, but the game of life.
Take all the lessons of dodging Lakitus and Bullet Bills with you.
You can do this and I’m rooting for you.
