Free Comic Book Day Haul

Comic Books: My New Passion

When I was younger, I wanted to be a cartoonist.

I loved watching “The Superfriends” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

I imagined myself creating stories and art like this for other people.

My local area didn’t have a comic bookstore, so I couldn’t have access to the stories like I would have liked.

Recently, I started back drawing.

I was quickly getting deep into learning how to hone my skills as an artist.

That creative outlet gave way to a desire to draw comic book characters.

This means I had to get the comic books.

As I digested the books, I began to fall in love with the comic book characters and the stories behind them.

Reading the comic books opened my eyes to amazing stories, complex superheroes and villains, as well as top notch artwork.

This fueled my desire to even create my own mini comic.

I can see why collectors and nerds have such a passion for comic books and graphic novels.

Today is National Free Comic Book Day, a day where comic bookstores are giving away free comic books.

It was great to visit my local comic bookstores and enjoy some great stories.

I wanted to share with you my pickups from today.

I am excited to get to reading these books.

Did you pick up any comics today?

Let me know if you did in the comments.

Thank you for reading this and checking it out.

God bless you.

Know that God loves and cares for you, have a great day.
