Superman vs The Elite
Just finished watching “Superman vs The Elite.”
(SPOILERS AHEAD)
This movie was an amazing display of Superman’s moral compass.
In this movie, Superman is known as a hero who shows mercy.
This puts him at odds with people who would rather see Superman do away with criminals, in a permanent fashion.
A group of heroes calling themselves “The Elite” emerges to fight against wrong with an iron, fatal fist.
This disturbs Superman while people are excited about The Elite.
Superman feels that people are finding him to be irrelevant.
In a conflict of interests, The Elite challenges Superman to a duel to see whose methods are better.
In a crazy battle, Superman emerges victorious and shows mercy to The Elite, showing that being powerful comes with responsibility to do right with that power.

The Power to Do Good!
This made me think of a Bible verse.
Let’s look at Galatians 6:10.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
We are responsible to do good, to show mercy to others.
This means we are to do go to all people, especially those who cannot benefit us.
It’s easy to be good to those who are good to us.
However, we can exercise mercy, just like Superman did to The Elite.
One of the things I love about Superman is that he uses his powers to help others feel safe and valued.
This is what we do whenever we are kind, loving, compassionate, merciful, and gracious to each other.
Conclusion
The Elite had great powers that would make any superhero envy.
Yet, they abused that power.
This made them no better than the criminals they executed.
However, we can learn from Superman’s mercy.
Superman sees the good in people and believes in a better world.
We should have the same outlook.
Even though the world is filled with bad people, we can never lose the optimistic view of a better world.
Let us always be optimistic and look on the bright side of life.
